Currently serving as the Artistic Director at Project STEP, Dr. Saunders leads an institution dedicated to offering comprehensive music instruction to young musicians from historically underrepresented communities in classical music.

Established in 1982, Project STEP (String Training Education Program) has been a cornerstone of music education in Boston for 40 years. The organization strives to contribute to the establishment of a classical music profession that reflects the racial and ethnic diversity present in our communities.
